Payton Wolfe

Kansas City Commissioner

After graduating high school in 2017, Payton embarked on a diverse career journey. Beginning as an HVAC Technician and installer, he earned certifications in residential, commercial, and mini-split HVAC systems. In 2020, he transitioned to rail car cleaning, switch operation, and conducting at Anderson Rail Car Services. Following that, Payton worked as a maintenance technician for BH Management Services in 2021.

In May 2022, he joined the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego, graduating boot camp in August and completing Marine Combat Training at Camp Pendleton. Payton excelled at the Marine Corps Communication and Electronics School, graduating as a Squad Leader in the top 5 of his class. After joining the 3rd Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment, Weapons Company, 1st Combined Anti Armor Team Platoon in Springfield, MO, Payton worked as a Plumber for Local 8 in Kansas City for 8 months before following his passion and becoming a full-time employee for ZB Sports and Chiefs Flag Football.

His journey with Chiefs Flag Football began in 2021, starting part-time as a ref and later becoming a League coordinator. As Commissioner, Payton oversees multiple leagues, ensuring the success of personnel to provide the best experiences for children in the community.

Among his achievements at Chiefs Flag, Payton cherishes the opportunity to coach and witness the growth of the Liberty league since its inception. Motivated by both positive and negative coaching experiences as a child, he aims to make a positive impact on the youth and the community. Family is a significant source of motivation for Payton.

Outside of work, Payton enjoys spending time with family, playing video games, and hanging out with his dogs, Malcolm and Vinny. A die-hard patriot, Payton joined the Marines to defend his love for the country and its diverse cultures. His passion for combat sports, including 13 years of wrestling and a love for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, adds a unique dimension to his personality.
